Choosing where you're going to live is one of the most exciting parts of coming to University! Make sure you choose the accommodation that will suit you best by doing some research via our website before you apply.

You'll be able to log in to book your accommodation 24 hours after accepting a conditional or unconditional offer to study a full-time course at ARU.

Logging in for the first time

Please go to ‘Set Password’ in the blue bar at the top of the page and follow the instructions.

January 2026 starters

The online induction will be live from Tuesday 16th December 2025. An email will be sent to you when it is ready for you to use.

The portal is Open for all students starting courses in January 2026 at our Cambridge, Chelmsford and Writtle Campuses to book rooms

Current students

There are still plenty of accommodation options at all three sites, to book a room, please contact your the Residential Service.

Chelmsford accommodation availability update:

Accommodation in Chelmsford will only be available to students who will be over 18 years old at the start of the contract.

There are rooms available on our student village for current students. Please email essexaccom@aru.ac.uk or visit us in the Queens Building to find out more and book one of these rooms.

Writtle Accommodation Availability update

Accommodation in Writtle will only be available to students who will be over 18 years old at the start of the contract.
